Great Rivers Greenway will present its 2017 Life Outside Free Festival of the Outdoors on June 10 at Creve Coeur Lake Memorial Park. The event highlights the many ways that residents of the St. Louis region can live more of their lives outside. A wide variety of outdoor activities will be featured, including kayaking, paddleboarding, tree climbing, yoga, camping and…picnicking. But this won’t be your momma’s picnicking. Nay. This picnicking…will…be…EXTREME!!!
We want to see the most elaborate…the most over the top…the most delicious picnics the St. Louis region has ever seen!

Categories & Judging:
Individuals and/or groups will be judged on a 10-point scale in the following categories:
» Picnic food creativity and execution
» Attractiveness and creativity of picnic decor
» Integration of the festival’s theme of living life outside
Our celebrity judges for this competition will be:

Prizes:
Prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category, and an overall “Best of Show” winner will walk away with bragging rights, the warm glow of victory, and an EXTREME trophy.
Category Prizes: Each category winner will receive a picnic basket full of outdoor goodies and an assortment of gift cards from some great St. Louis eateries
Grand Prize Winner: Our most extreme picnic will receive our beautiful and highly prestigious Extreme Picnicking Champion plaque. Perfect for mounting on your mantle or displaying in your trophy case…wherever you choose to showcase your most prized possessions.
Registration:
Groups of 2 to 8 participants are welcome to enter this free contest by completing the form below.

» Teams will be provided a 10×10 space. You can bring whatever you want, but it must fit within that space.
» Tents are allowed but will not be provided.
